At a STOP sign with a stop line, where should you stop?

The rule

At a STOP sign, stop at the stop line; with no stop line, before the crosswalk; with neither, before entering the intersection.

At a STOP sign, the stop line shows where to stop. Stop at it, not in the crosswalk or the intersection.

From the Maryland Driver's Manual, Section 4, page 21. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the MVA have the final word.
